Dear Customer,
Further to our announcement dated December 14, 2009, we would like to provide
with further information regarding the upcoming AEX direct call at Cai Mep deep
water port.
Cargo Acceptance
AEX will be calling Saigon New Port Cai Mep Terminal TCCT (Tan Cang Cai Mep
Terminal) located in Ba Ria/ Vung Tau province.

Laden Container drop off and pick up at following HCMC Inland Container Depots
(ICDs) and barging to TCCT are included in the service package without additional
charges until further notice:

Tan Cang Cat Lai
•
ICD Tan Cang
•
ICD Long Binh
•
ICD Phuc Long
•
ICD Tanamexco
•
ICD Transimex
Mode of transport truck to/from TCCT on request only.
All other HCMC Terminals (like VICT/ Saigon Port/ SPCT/ Ben Nghe) on request
only.
Bills of Lading with POL/POD Ho Chi Minh City can only be issued for Tan Cang Cat
Lai or above mentioned ICDs delivery/ release until further notice.

Cut Off Times
We are legally bound to apply strict documentation closing for destinations USA,
Canada, Mexico and China as per below. Incomplete shipping instructions will be
considered as no shipping instruction received and container will not be loaded.
Please note below AEX cut off times:
•
Documentation (SI/AMS/ACI) cut off 72h prior expected time of arrival (ETA) Tan
Cang Cai Mep – TCCT.
•
Container delivery terminal cut off (except dangerous goods as per IMO, OOG
and BBK on request only):
o ETA for Tan Cang Cai Mep – TCCT
o 36h prior ETA TCCT for Tan Cang Cat Lai and all ICDs as mentioned
above.
Shipping Instructions
In order to improve service levels to you for timeliness documentation and to meet
security requirements by US- and Canadian custom, we need your cooperation to
ensure below criteria:
Please send us only complete shipping instructions in English via the known
communication channels – preferred electronically to avoid any misunderstanding.
Break down for each container as well as container/seal number is a must.
Freight payer must be shown on your shipping instructions to ensure invoice being
sent to the correct party and in time.
For AMS/ACI non self filer, house Bs/L and master Bs/L need to show on shipping
instructions to avoid mismatch.
 

Service Patterns
The first AEX Eastbound vessel to call Cai Mep will be OOCL America voyage
28E01, ETD January 9, 2010 from TCCT.
The first AEX Westbound vessel to call Cai Mep will be OOCL Oakland voyage
16W50, ETD December 16, 2010 from Halifax.
